    Right Hand Side of the UV-5RA+, The SP/MIC cover opens to reveal a 2.5mm Speaker Jack and 3.5mm Microphone Jack. The Microphone jack has the PTT function on the second channel pins.

    This jack also doubles as the Serial Interface, The USB/Serial cable has a 2.5mm+3.5mm jack on it which enables you to program the radio.
